Why Phở opened a home for research, case studies, and build-in-public notes. And the principle throughout: no fabricated sources.
Phở Chat is an evidence-grounded clinical and research assistant, built for Vietnamese users. But some things don’t fit inside a chat box: a new paper worth reading, an illustrative clinical case, a lesson learned while building. That’s why Phở Labs exists.
Three things here
Papers Radar. Every year brings hundreds of AI-for-biomedicine papers. Most clinicians and researchers don’t have time to filter them. We curate, tag by topic, and add a short “why it matters” note. The links always point back to the original and its code.
Clinical case studies. Each case starts from a real question a physician asks, then shows how Phở answers it: with citations, a level of evidence, and the honesty to say “not enough evidence” when the literature is unsettled. Patients are reconstructed, never real data.
Build-in-public notes. We build Phở in the open. What works, we show; what’s in progress, we mark “coming”, never demoed as if it exists.
One principle, unchanged
Running through all of it is a single line: no fabricated sources. Every claim must have a real source or be labelled “unverified”. It sounds obvious, but with today’s AI it is anything but. That’s the subject of the next post.
